In 2020, after the wonderful reception summer Shakespeare had received over the years, the Concord Players' resident Shakespeare troupe decided to formalize its identity with its own name: The World's A Stage Players.
But this troupe dates back to 2012, and has produced at least one play every year since (except 2016). Are you curious about our past productions? We have complete video for almost everything since 2015, slideshows for all but one production, and cast and crew info for them all. See it here:

The World's A Stage Players, the resident Shakespeare troupe of The Concord Players, are excited to announce our second annual birthday party celebrating the life of the Bard.
Join us on April 23, 2026 in the Goodwin Forum at the Concord Free Public Library (129 Main Street) from 6:00-7:30 PM for an evening of events celebrating Shakespeare and his 462nd birthday!
Members of the troupe will present scenes and monologues from various Shakespeare and Shakespeare adjacent plays. There will be a thrilling round of Shakespeare trivia. And the night will wrap up by putting brave members of the troupe to the test. They will be given Shakespearean scenes to perform, their roles left to chance, with only moments to look them over... a game we like to call Shakespeare Roulette.
We hope you will join us for this special celebration. Attendance is FREE and no advance registration is required.
We will be holding auditons for selected roles in:
All auditions will take place at 51 Walden St., Concord

The World's A Stage Players are proud to present their winter production, Twelfth Night. Set amid the cultural swirl of the 1960s, this production reimagines Illyria in a world shaken by the Vietnam War and alive with new identities, music, and rebellion. Shakespeare's comedy of disguise and desire becomes a kaleidoscope of love, loss, and the radical joy of remaking who we are.
There will be five performances, all at 51 Walden St., with FREE general admission:
The World's A Stage Players will return, as always, to the Concord Free Public Library lawn for two weekends. This summer, the troupe continues (following their 2023 production of Richard II) Shakespeare's 8-play cycle of English history with a production of Henry IV Part I. Enjoy the show at one of these performances:
