Christmas, 1183.

Spend an unforgettable winter holiday with the Plantagenets, a dysfunctional royal family with a taste for savagery, both verbal and political.

Goldman’s play presents nine fascinating scenes with seven unforgettable characters in one memorable theatrical event, as Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine, his wife, battle to decide which of their three sons is to be the next King of England. Each ambitious son wants the crown, and each is willing to do anything to be named heir.

All in this family have hurt each other too often and for too long for anyone to trust anyone else or to admit their need for each other.
