Jake O’Hara

Jake is thrilled to be returning to The Concord Players after last appearing as Action in West Side Story. For the past two years, he has taken a step into the backstage, and has been directing and designing in the Boston and Metro-west area. Most recently, he costumed The Producers at Concord-Carlisle High School, after receiving an EMACT nomination for “Best Direction” of his inaugural production of the show for the new Performing Arts Series (also nominated for “Best Musical”) in 2009 at the Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts.

A graduate of London’s Central School of Speech and Drama, Jake’s recent production credits include Hair/Makeup Design for Six Characters in Search of An Author, as well as Assistant Director and Hair/Makeup Design for Death and the King’s Horseman (Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club, American Repertory Theatre’s Experimental Theatre), Assistant Director of Interview (Heart & Dagger Productions, Boston Center for the Arts), Director of Ontological at the Turtle Lane Playhouse’s Young Directors Festival, and Costume Design and Hair/Makeup Design (2010 EMACT nom) for Singin’ in the Rain at the Emerson Umbrella.

By day, Jake is the Head of Theatre at the Corwin-Russell School.
