A veteran of more than one hundred productions, Rick started designing and running lights in high school. Since then, he's won six EMACT lighting awards for Gypsy at Theatre III in Acton, for the Players George Washington Slept Here, South Pacific, All My Sons, West Side Story and Emerson Umbrella’s production of Angels in America (part 1 Millennium Approaches). Rick won the DASH award for best lighting of Concord's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and has also been nominated for best lighting at EMACT for the Concord Players' productions of Memory of Water, Sylvia, and Sideman, and The Scarlet Pimpernel, the TCAN (The Center for the Arts in Natick) production of A Piece of my Heart, and EMACT honors for Arlington Friends of the Drama's production of Communicating Doors. Rick is widely known for special effects using smoke, fog, fire, and a variety of computer driven lights and instruments, many of his own design. Days, he works part time for the Boston Connection on Cape Cod.
