NOTES FROM THE BOARD

Our winter production of Lend Me a Tenor is in the midst of rehearsal. The set with 6 working doors is well along. We open February 9th. Pictured here are John Small and Michael Govang working at Patricia Till’s house with Art Finstein making them into operatic tenors!

Auditions for our spring musical She Loves Me are being help January 9, 10, 2007 at the Trinitarian Congregational Church which is across the street from our theater.  7:00pm both nights.   Go to concordplayers.org for more information.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!  Auditions for cast for our next fund raiser will be held in late January.  Watch for more information!  The performance of a concert version of Pirates of Penzance will be directed by Alan Yost.  If you’d like to be in the chorus, there’s no need for auditions – just sign up!  The performance is to take place on March 17, with about 5 rehearsals.  Note – we’re still looking for a costumer for the men.  Interested?

And, thanks in great part to some Herculean efforts by volunteers (thank you again, David Atwood!) our restoration project is nearly complete and it was done on time and on budget!  What a magnificent effort!  We are still in process of obtaining monies from the town of Concord as our costs almost doubled from our first request for funds.  Let’s hope we’re successful in getting those funds!

Questionnaires were inserted in the programs for all All My Sons performances, asking our audiences about their preferences in their play-going. Using the information gleaned from the input there, the play selection committee is hard at work selecting a slate for next season.

We NEED You!  On Saturday, January 6, from 10AM to 3PM, we’re hoping to get all our stored things back to where they belong.  Because of the stage project, everything had to be moved out of the Green room, dressing rooms, paint room, etc.  Now it’s time to take it all back home.  An enormous project that can only go well with a lot of effort from lots of people.  Lunch will be provided.  Please come, even if only for a short time…all help is needed and welcome.

…and the membership books are here!  Thanks to Corinne and Bob for a great job!  We have some additions since the book went to print:
