NOTES FROM THE BOARD

On Saturday, September 8, Linda McConchie with her Sister, April, carried our banner in the West Concord Family Festival Parade while Paula McNabb, Jay Newlon, and Rachel Costello performed as dancing waiters. Cheri Fletcher, Pilar Broggi, Judith Broggi, and Peggy Elliott were in costume handing out brochures promoting our upcoming season. See

Sheryl Blair lost her battle with lymphoma on Tuesday, August 28th. Although Sheryl was ill, she was always optimistic that this wasn't going to keep her down and signed on as one of the producers of The Odd Couple. All of us at the Concord Players are very saddened by her loss and the director and producers of The Odd Couple want to dedicate this show in her memory. Sheryl, we miss you.

Starting this season, Concord Players is actively working on increasing membership and subscribership. Stay tuned for updates throughout the season on the many benefits of becoming a member of Concord Players!

Numerous improvements are in the works for the stage curtains and lighting systems at 51 Walden Street.  These improvements will enhance our audiences’ enjoyment of every production, and provide our directors and designers with a significantly broader range of artistic options. Expect to see our new stage curtain in place by opening night of our fall production, The Odd Couple.

Also on September 8, set construction for our fall production of The Odd Couple gets underway – and YOU are invited to join the fun! Also, they are in need of an old TV set and an old stereo or record-player to be used as props during the show – if you know of anyone who can lend us any of these important items please contact the director of The Odd Couple, Lisa Astbury, at 617 694-7845 or click her EMAIL.
