NOTES FROM THE BOARD

Dorothy Parker Revived, a celebration of the wit and wisdom of the legendary New York literary figure, which was performed at 51 Walden as a special event last February, has been chosen as the Concord Players' entry in the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres (EMACT) Spring Festival, June 13-15, 2008, at the Groton School Performing Arts Center, Groton, Mass. Tickets for one session or for the whole 3-day series may be ordered at http://www.emact.org or at the door. All are encouraged to come to see community theatre at its best in one of the most beautiful facilities in New England!

In preparation for this event, the Players are eager to present a preview performance of a revised script before an audience. Please mark your calendar for Friday, June 6, 2008, at 51 Walden St., Concord, at 8:00pm, and support this effort to represent Concord in a major regional event! Tickets at the door; suggested donation, $5. Reception to follow the performance!  The cast features Lillian Anderson, Sandy Clifford, Patricia Collins, Waldo Fielding, Bill Maxwell, Lida McGirrand Barry FriedmanDorothy Parker Revived was compiled by Lida McGirr, and is being directed by Lida McGirr and Dorothy Schecter.

Special Invitation From Our Webmaster, Rik Pierce:

Ten years ago, Concord Players’ faithful Peggy Elliott said to me: "Rik, You know about this stuff. Do you think you might be able to put our auditions for Oklahoma! on the Internet?" Thus began http://www.concordplayers.org .  When I started I knew nothing about how to code html. But I learned by doing. For ten years I have been delighted to maintain and improve the web site.  So while I continue to enjoy working on it, I believe it is time to make the transition to another webmaster who can come up to speed on the content and the coding.  If you are interested, please contact me.
