HURRAY! ANOTHER SHOW BUS!

Sally Bull has booked front mezzanine seats for Ragtime at the Colonial Theatre, the 7:30 pm performance on Sunday, January 24th. It's the story of three families whose dramatic lives intertwine with legendary characters like Henry Ford, Harry Houdini, and Evelyn Nesbit: dance, drama, music, tragedy and triumph, passion and romance, from the beginning of this century to the advent of World War I. The New Yorker called it, "A great Broadway hit: big, brave, and passionate." Gotta go! Ticket, our own motor coach to and from, plus wine and snacks, all for $80. Send your check ASAP to Sally.

Wondering what to do with that small safe you keep tripping over in the basement? If it is on legs and has a door, please call Heddie Kent, who needs it for a Wait Until Dark prop.

If you'd like a preview of the work of Dave Sheppard, the talented guy who is directing Wait Until Dark, you can see his award-winning production of Stone Cuffs by the Acme Theatre at the Burlington Players' theatre on January 8,9, and 10.

A committee is forming to raise money for necessary structural improvements to 51 Walden. If you'd like to help maintain Concord's official bicentennial memorial - so declared of April 19, 1975 - call Marlene Mandel; fund-raising experience is desirable!

The Players go from success to success! Our Welcome Winter! attracted a houseful of townspeople, many families with young children who cheered, booed (the bad guys!) sang, and played being Roman soldiers, all under the leadership of Heddie Kent and Kate Henchman. And our fall show, Sylvia, filled an average 55% of the house, a very good record. Congrats to Len Clarke and Laura Sweet. If you missed it, make sure you don't miss Wait Until Dark, a dandy chiller, opening February 12th.

Karen Sinclair has volunteered to be our EMACT representative so we can stay connected to the regional theatre scene. The January meeting of EMACT will be at 51 Walden, on the 9th.

Member News: Lee and Art Milliken have rejoined the Players, though too late to make our Members' Directory, which you should be receiving any day!
