Sandy Armstrong

Sandy has been involved in Community Theater in one form or another for more than forty years. While performing is her passion, she also produces, directs, does make-up, sets, and associated art work. Sandy was a Founding Board Member of Merrimack Repertory Theater in Lowell and for many years produced and performed in shows for The Paint and Powder Club of greater Lowell, raising Funds for local children’s charities.

Now that her two sons are grown, raising families of their own, AND she is RETIRED, she is free to devote herself to what could only be a part time passion previously. Favorite Roles at Theatre III include; Mame -“Mame”, Mother Superior -“Nunsense”, Abby -“Arsenic and Old Lace”, Grandma in “Lost in Yonkers”, and the just completed role of Ethel Thayer in “On Golden Pond”.

At other area theaters, Reno Sweeny - “Anything Goes”, Ethel - “Moon Over Buffalo”, and Miss Skillon, “See How They Run” rank high on her list. Sandy would like to thank theater pup Spike and cat Yankee for keeping things in order while she rehearses and Concord Players for the opportunity to work on their lovely new stage.
