Audition will be on Saturday February 16 at 1:00 pm at 51 Walden StCallbacks if needed will be on Saturday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m. The play will be performed on the lawn in front of the Concord Free Public Library. Performance dates: July 14, 15, 21 and 22, at 4 p.m. Prospero - The legitimate Duke of Milan, the play’s protagonist and father of Miranda, has spent twelve years on the island refining his magic powers. Miranda - daughter of Prospero, 14, brought to the island at age 3 and has never seen any men other than her father and Caliban. Compassionate, generous, and loyal to her father. Ariel - Prospero’s airy spirit helper, mischievous and ubiquitous, able to traverse the length of the island in an instant and to change shapes at will. Caliban - A savage and deformed slave and another of Prospero’s servants, the son of deceased witch Sycorax, acquainted Prospero with the island when Prospero arrived. Ferdinand - Son and heir of Alonso, love interest for Miranda. Alonso - King of Naples and father of Ferdinand, aided Antonio in unseating Prospero. Gonzalo - An old, honest lord, helped Prospero and Miranda escape Milan. Trinculo, a jester, and Stephano, a drunken butler, who engage in boasting and petty greed. Boatswain - vigorously good-natured, appears in the first (storm and ship sinking) and last scenes.
