A Brandeis University professor of chemistry with degrees from Cambridge University and Yale, Michael has been interested in theatre for many years.

At the Players, he has acted, produced, served on the Board, and chaired the nominating committee. He was nominated for best supporting actor at the 1977 NETC festival, and in 1979 he co-produced Glass Menagerie which won the Moss Hart Award.

He has been working on plans for the 1992 production of Little Women since 1985
