Like Jo March, Kate grew up in Concord as part of a family of four daughters and began her acting career with living room productions. She has gone on to appear in student shows at the University of Wisconsin and harvard University. She has performed the roles of Desdemona in Othello, Mrs. Alving in Ibsen's Ghosts, and Nancy in Oliver.

Kate has studied acting with prominent resident actor, Jeremy Geidt, at the American Repertory Theatre as well as with area director, Michael Allosso.
