Charles Atherton Charlie has been active in the Concord Players for more than fifteen years. He has acted, directed, produced, headed the make-up crew,worked on the set building crew, and served on the Board of Directors. Charlie spent the 1970's in New York as a professional actor. His theatrical credits ran the gamut from Shakespeare to Christopher Isherwood's I Am a Camera to being a waiter at Sardi’s. He also appeared in a smattering of soap operas and in radio and TV commercials. He appeared as SirToby Belch in the Concord Players production of Twelfth Night. Charlie considers his blindingly sensitive performance in a Mail Pouch Chewing Tobacco commercial to be the pinnacle of his career. He is also proud to have served as a member of the National Board of Directors of the Screen Actor's Guild. |
