Charlie Atherton (Make-up Design) has been active in the Concord Players for more than ten years. He has acted, directed, produced, headed the make-up crew, worked on the set building crew, and served on the Board of Directors.

Charlie spent the 1970's in New York as a professional actor. His theatrical credits ran the gamut from Shakespeare to Tom Stoppard's The Real Inspector Hound to e.e. cummings' Santa Claus to Christopher Isherwood's I Am a Camera. He also appeared in a smattering of soap operas and in radio and TV commercials.

Charlie considers his blindingly sensitive performance in a Mail Pouch Chewing Tobacco commercial to be the pinnacle of his career. He is also proud to have served as a member of the National Board of Directors of the Screen Actor's Guild.
