Douglas Cooper

Douglas Cooper (Scenic Designer) is a retired civil service graphic designer for the U.S. Army. Retirement has provided the freedom to pursue his passion for theatre as a director, producer and scenic designer. He has contributed to the region’s community theatre fabric for well over 30 years.

This season (2007-2008) he has already completed design projects in Charlestown, Winchester and Maynard. Virtually on the heels of Concord’s Lion in Winter, he’s designed scenery for two productions opening or lined up in Arlington, another in Maynard and one at Hudson High School. He’ll end the season by directing Bell, Book and Candle, in Westford this Spring. Doug is the current president of the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatre.
