Pat Kane

Costumes and Theater have been a part of my life since I was quite young. As a child I made a puppet theater and put on puppet shows with my cousin. We made the puppets, the costumes, the sets, and invented the plays! In high school I had parts in, and designed and made costumes for, "Bye Bye Birdie", "Trial by Jury", and other shows. Now a freelance costumer, I work for local theater groups and individuals. My costumes have been seen in productions by Concord Players, Concord Youth Theater, Lincoln Players, Quannapowitt Players, BBC/Granada and other film and documentaries.

My favorite parts of costuming are period costumes, alterations, and special effects. In my other lives, I sew custom clothing, do alterations, make and teach Nantucket Lightship Baskets, sing, ski, and join others who are not afraid to talk about seams and zippers at meetings of the Professional Association of Custom Clothiers.
